Good Times, Good Friends cont.

The Lasting room is housed in a renovated shoe mill, thus the name. In an amazing coincidence, the Lasting Room was the only building to survive the Great Haverhill fire of 1882 giving further meaning to its name.

Furthermore the after race party is famous for its incredible lasting power. With it scrumptious buffet, abundance of adult beverages, entertainment and our New England Patriots playing on all of the Lasting Room's plasma TVs, it is tough to beat this post race celebration. The party often spills out onto the large back deck that overlooks the magnificent Merrimack River.

Most years race participants as well as volunteers have been known to make an entire day and, for some, evening, of the event. Regardless of whether you stay for a few minutes or several hours, the turn of the century mill buildings along the river in historic Haverhill makes for a superb setting for a great after race party. The Bobby Bell is one of New England's road racing jewels.
